Western Union recently awarded winners of its ‘Better Life Promotion’ at a short ceremony at the Accra Mall.
Under the promotion, which is the first for the money transfer company this year, a total of 136 prizes were presented to customers for receiving money from friends and relations from across the world through Western Union.
Every Western Union customer, who received money during the promotion from 27th March to 12th May 2017 entered into a draw.
Laptops with 3-in-1 printers, scanners and photocopiers, hair dryers, sewing machines, fabrics, deep freezers and tabletop cookers were given to the winners.
The customers were rewarded for making Western Union their preferred money transfer service.
The ‘Better Life’ promotion was also intended to give prizes to customers to encourage them to start their own small businesses.
Some of the prize winners include Solomon Tano, who took home a laptop and a 3-in-1 printer and Semefa Marvin Agbovi, who received a sewing machine.
Charles Kusi Owusu went home with a chest freezer.
Mary Frimpong won a tabletop cooker.
Western Union organizes Easter Promotion, Back to school promotion and the Year End Promotion every year.
