As anticipation builds for the ninth edition of the EMY Africa Awards, set to take place on November 24, many Ghanaians and Africans are eager to discover who will take home the EMY Africa Man of the Year award.
For years, the EMY Africa Awards have celebrated industrious men across the continent who dedicate their time and resources to improving lives in Africa.
Since its inception, the awards have recognised outstanding individuals, starting with its first Ultimate Man of the Year, Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom, and most recently honouring Mr. Alex Apau Dadey.
The award scheme has established itself as one of Africa’s most credible platforms, ensuring a fair and transparent selection process over the past eight years.
The awarding board has consistently recognised deserving men across various categories that reflect their hard work and dedication.
Mr. Alex Apau Dadey, the 2023 Man of the Year award recipient, has garnered widespread acclaim for his contributions to Ghana’s economic growth.
With over 30 years of experience in diverse industries including fintech, logistics, and agriculture, Mr. Dadey’s impact has been recognised at the highest levels, earning him the role of Board Chair for the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC).
In this position, he leads strategic initiatives and sets high governance standards to promote investment in Ghana.
Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Dadey is also a committed philanthropist. Through the KGL Foundation, he has championed social intervention programmes in sports, health, and education across Ghana, reinforcing his belief in giving back to the society.
As the countdown to the awards ceremony continues, excitement and tension mount as the continent awaits the announcement of this year’s Ultimate Man of the Year, who will succeed Mr. Dadey.
Carbon AV, the organisers of the EMY Africa Awards, have promised an exceptional event this year.
In an interview, Kojo Soboh, Executive Director of the EMY Africa Awards, emphasised that nominees undergo rigorous scrutiny throughout the selection process. A team of experienced evaluators and statisticians collaborate to review entries and select deserving winners.
The criteria for nomination emphasise values such as diversity, respect, and integrity—qualities that reflect the essence of what it means to be an Exclusive Man of the Year.
With all eyes on the upcoming ceremony, the question remains: Who will win the EMY Africa Man of the Year?
