Wontumi Warns NPP Imposters

Chairman Wontumi

Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bernard Antwi Boasiako aka Wontumi, has called for the arrest of people causing trouble in the city to tarnish the image of the party.

According to him, some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) dressed in NPP colours have been seizing toilets and tollbooths in the city just to dent the image of the NPP.

Wontumi stated that his office had realized that those causing commotion in the city were not NPP members.

He sternly cautioned the imposters who were committing crime in the city to quickly desist from the practice or else they would be arrested and prosecuted by the police.

According to him, some NDC members openly seized tollbooths and toilets in the city and the Ashanti region at large when NDC won the 2008 presidential elections.

Wontumi noted that the same NDC members have now adopted a new strategy by dressing in NPP colours to cause trouble so as to create disaffection for the NPP.

He claimed the NDC wants to use that weird and diabolic tactics to disrupt the NPP’s celebration, reiterating that the culprits should stop the dastardly action.

The NPP members in the city are law-abiding people, who are jubilating after the party’s historic electoral victory and can therefore not be the ones seizing toilets and tollbooths, according to him.
