Worlasi
The 2018 edition of Worla Festival of Arts will take place at the Alliance Française Accra on Friday, December 7 with diverse performances.
Dynamic artiste Worlasi, who is also a painter/ animator, will be the main performer at the festival, which will also witness performances from M.anifest, Trigmatic, Epixode, Maa Yaa and Akan.
Worlasi is a rapper, singer, producer and songwriter with exceptional vocal abilities, whose versatility enables him to switch from singing to rapping in English, Ewe, Fante, Ga and Pidgin.
His songs are famous for their refreshing and inspiring lyrics alongside a cool mixture of soul and hip-hop blended with African flavour.
Some of his greatest hits include ‘Too Naughty’, ‘Nus?’, ‘One Life’, ‘Nukata’ and ‘You Saw Me’.
He made his debut on Coke Studio Africa 2017 as a big break artist and is paired with Kenya’s Sauti Sol and Nigeria’s Chidinma.
Worlasi’s musical career can be traced to his first breakthrough single, ‘Ay? Adz?’, which saw him rise to fame.
He later released his debut 14-track mixtape ‘Nus?’, which earned him more recognition. His latest release ‘Uncut’, a 13-track album, features artistes such as Krack Gyamfi, Emperaw and Laelaure.
