The Worldwide Word Ministries has outlined activities to mark its 9th anniversary and thanksgiving to God for His grace and faithfulness in transforming lives across the world.

The weeklong celebrations under the theme “Greater Mandate” include a ceremonial football match between Worldwide Ministries and the Makershouse Chapel International at Kwabenya in Accra.

Church members, affiliates and pastors across the globe will join the Head Pastor, John Anokye to climax the weeklong activities and programmes, with the breaking of bread on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at the Hill City Auditorium at East Legon in Accra.

Speaking to the media on the anniversary, the Prelate of the Church, Prophet John Anokye said the church will hold a crusade at the American House followed by a night of worship with the Word Choir and a cleanup exercise at Ogbojo Polyclinic.

He said the church, led by its Prelate, as part of its programmes will also hold a prophetic service on Thursday, February 13 followed by a celebration on Friday, February 14, 2025.

According to Prophet Anokye, the church, established almost a decade ago, apart from meeting the spiritual needs of people, has also supported the marginalised in society including communities in some deprived areas in the country through its charitable wing dubbed “I care mission”.

He also cited the example of the Korle Bu Hospital where the church supported and paid the medical bills of some patients who could not afford them, while continuously supporting the less privileged in some communities.

Prophet Anokye noted that the church has also provided skills training and additionally provided seed capital to enable them start their own businesses.

The Head Pastor added that the church, which has about 30,000 congregation, is targeting about 700,000 people in other continents with other affiliates pastors across the globe, while working towards reaching millions of people globally.

“We are confident that with the guidance of the Holy Spirit and with the unwavering support of our dedicated members, Worldwide Word Ministries will continue to shine  as a beacon of hope, transformation and divine purpose and will fulfil our divine mandate,” he added.
