After the success of Phase 1, which witnessed thousands of young Ghanaians equipped with vital skills and tools for the job market, the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) under the leadership of its Chief Executive Officer, Kofi Agyepong, has announced the commencement of Phase 2 of the Skills Training Programme.
The Phase 1 of the training programme witnessed the transformation of many lives of beneficiaries, who have now mastered various artisanal professions, stepping confidently into the workforce ready to contribute to Ghana’s growth.
In a press release sighted by the paper, the agency stated that the feedback from the Phase 1 has been tremendous, with many already establishing their own businesses and securing jobs in their chosen fields.
As a result, they target to train additional 10,000 youth across the nation.
“This is your chance to gain quality training in any of the 10 artisanal professions: Auto Works, Carpentry, Hairdressing, Glazing Works, Plaster of Paris (POP), Painting, Plumbing, Beauty Care, General Electricals, Welding & Fabrication.
“Our commitment is to ensure that every successful applicant receives top-notch training and the necessary starter packs to kickstart their own ventures. This programme is open to all passionate Ghanaian youth aged between 18 and 35 years, and it’s absolutely free,” the statement read.
