Stakeholders at the 2022 Regional Teens Summit
The 2022 Regional Teens Summit organized by the Tiyumba Hope Foundation has been held in Tamale, the Northern region.
The theme for this year’s summit is “Reproductive Health, A measure of Equity and Human Rights”.
The summit brought together teenagers from various Senior High and Junior High Schools in the region, religious and traditional bodies, and stakeholders.
The Executive Director of Tiyumba Hope Foundation, Madam Fadila Fuseini said issues of teenage pregnancy, early child marriage, and reproductive health rights are issues that the girl child should be educated about at the early stage of their lives.

“ As part of our contribution we do advocacy in the schools and communities to educate them because sharing what you know will help save someone’s life.”
She urged religious and traditional leaders, the media, and all stakeholders to talk extensively about issues of early child marriage because they are issues that greatly affect the young generation.
The Communication Director of the University for Development Studies (UDS), Abdul Hayi Moomen, who was a guest at the event was optimistic that steps taken by the Tiyumba Hope Foundation will go a long way to change the mindset of people about issues of early child marriage, teenage pregnancy among others.
Some of the beneficiary students noted that through the summit they have learned about the effects of early child marriage and how to control it and pledged to educate their colleagues about it.
