Frankie Taylor Warns Radio Presenters

One of the country’s finest radio presenters, Frankie Taylor, has appealed to his colleague radio presenters to use their programmes to preach peace as the 2016 general elections approach.

He stressed that “we simply cannot afford to be complacent with the peace of Ghana and must as such on a daily basis drum home the need for peace, especially in this very crucial year of elections.”

Frankie Taylor mentioned that Ghana is a very beautiful country of great people, and it is extremely important that every effort is made to protect the peace of the country.

In a chat with BEATWAVES, the 2013 Best Music Promoter of the Year pointed out that radio presenters have a crucial role to play in ensuring peaceful elections come November 7, adding that God is watching each and every one and He would deal with all those who try to undermine the peace in the country.

He warned radio presenters and programmes managers at the various radio stations not to allow themselves to be influenced by politicians to use their programmes to attack their opponents.

Frankie Taylor was optimistic that public education with active participation of radio presenters in peace campaign would help members of the public to begin to understand the root causes of violence.

“Let us all remember that Ghana’s collective destiny is far more important than the interest of any individual or group,” he said.

Frankie Taylor added that Ghanaian radio presenters, DJs and those in the radio industry have a lot to offer mother Ghana by way of shaping the youth.

He, therefore, urged his colleagues to design educative programmes that would shape the youth to become more disciplined and to inculcate in them the real Ghanaian culture.
