Marketing Manager at Indomie, Belo Cida Haruna, has challenged parents and teachers to inculcate the spirit of volunteerism, selflessness and patriotism in children to make them better citizens in future.
He made the call at the opening of a seven-day leadership camp meeting for children.
The Leadership Farm, organised by Lead Afrique, brought together children from different background to spend some seven days together to acquire important leadership skills and other traits they need to become better adults.
Haruna, who commended the organisers for the initiative, urged them to ensure that the children left the programme better than they came.
He underscored the values of volunteerism and patriotism and challenged the organisers to also inculcate those values in the children during the programme.
He said Indomie was happy to support the programme since it falls in line with the goals of supporting the growth and development of children.
Mr. Haruna said the company will continue to sponsor programmes that seek to enhance the full development of children, adding that Indomie does not only provide health and nutritious meals but seeks the total welfare of consumers of its products.
