The first-ever silent party in Ghana has been held by Nutrifoods Ghana Limited.
Silent parties are almost non-existent in Ghana though quite popular in Europe and other parts of the world. It is a dance party where music is transmitted through wireless headphones.
Rather than using a speaker system, music is broadcast via a radio transmitter, with the signal being picked up by wireless headphone receivers worn by the participants.
Nutrifoods, producers of Perk milk shortcake biscuits, has organized the party together for its workers and consumers.
The event, dubbed ‘Perk Hush Party 2016’, was held at the campus of the University of Ghana, Legon, Accra.
It was attended by consumers of Perk milk shortcake biscuits and tertiary students of the University of Ghana.
The company plans to stage the next ‘Perk Hush Party’ in Kumasi at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology (KNUST).
Perk milk shortcake is a household name in Ghana despite the product being at the Ghanaian market for less than two years.
Known for its trendy blue package, richness of real milk with unique biscuit design, Perk milk shortcake has delighted many consumers since its launch.
