Preko Quits Hearts Job

Yaw Preko

Accra Hearts of Oak interim manager Yaw Preko has laid down his tools citing lack of respect from the Club’s management.

The former Hearts player took over as the assistant Coach for Japanese Kenichi Yatsuhashi before taking over as interim coach on short-term basis following the dismissal of Portuguese trainer Sergio Traguil, who replaced Yatshuhashi.

Preko, who tendered his resignation on Friday was expected to be named as the substantive head coach of the team ahead of the new season.
Explaining what informed his decision to part ways with his boyhood club, he mentioned that management of the club has failed to accord him respect for him to continue in his role.

It has emerged that the coach has gone three months without receiving his monthly salary and has no say regarding player recruitment and other sensitive issues of the club.
