The management, staff and pupils of Immanuel Restoration School Complex (IRSC) located at Abelemkpe in Accra have donated various items and an undisclosed amount of money to inmates of the Dzorwulu Special School in Accra.
The items included bags of rice, maize, cooking oil, toiletries, toilet rolls, bags of sachet water, juice, candies, toys and clothing, among others.
According to the Director of IRSC, Rev. Mrs. Cecilia Campbell, the donation formed part of the school’s annual Thanksgiving Service.
She said management and staff of the school instituted the Thanksgiving Service to give to vulnerable members of society.
The director lauded staff of the Dzorwulu Special School for their relentless efforts at helping to shape the lives of persons who would otherwise have been a burden for society.
The Headmaster of Special School, Frederick Tetteh, who received the items, expressed his appreciation to the management and staff of IRSC for the donation.
He said the school, which was established in 1970, currently has 100 students and 45 staff.
He explained that enrollment is restricted due to the high cost of training students.
Headmaster of Immanuel Restoration School, Nana Peasah-Baffour, lauded parents of the school for providing the items that were donated to the Special School.
