The winners of the first mini draw of the “Abusua Akyede3” promotion, the first family promotion by Access Bank, have been rewarded at a ceremony held at the Rawlings Park in Accra last Friday.

Access Bank held the first mini draw of the promotion last week at the Osu Oxford Street Branch of the bank under the supervision of the National Lotteries Authority (NLA) to reward the first batch of winners.

The Konyah family, who emerged as the winner of the group draw, won an all-expense paid family holiday while the Akaglo family won a shopping spree package.

Other families won educational scholarships.

Front View Enterprise and Brave World Construction Limited topped in the SME draw, winning a Keyman insurance cover worth GH¢50,000 while Day Sark Company Limited won a money counting machine.

Fat and Sons took away a brand new desktop computer. Others won fireproof case and printers.

Matilda Asante Asiedu, Group Head for Personal Banking, who spoke to BUISINESS GUIDE said, “The essence of the promo is to give people incentives to save. When you join this promo not only are you saving money for your future but you also stand a chance of winning amazing prizes.”

“It is important that in the open, having worked with NLA to choose the winners, Access Bank also makes sure that the winners are openly rewarded, often when promos are held, people do not believe that the winners are real.

“We want everybody to see that this is a fair and square opportunity. Every customer that enters this draw has an equal chance to win,” she added.

Rachael Nkonya, who received the ultimate prize for the draw on behalf of the Konya Family said, “This is a dream come true, we weren’t expecting it. I am so excited. It is not easy to come by such a package.”

Narrating how her family won, Rachael said, “My husband and I have separate accounts in Access Bank and a staff of our branch encouraged us to enter the promo. We hesitated but she encouraged us and when we joined we won a holiday package.”

She encouraged Ghanaians to participate in all activities of Access Bank.
