‘One Corner’ Music Kills 2 At Ntotroso

Patapaa

Two adolescents who were on a motorbike and dancing to Patapaa’s popular ‘one corner’ music have met their untimely death at Ntotroso, a mining town in the Asutifi North District of the Brong-Ahafo Region.

The accident occurred at about 1200 midnight on Tuesday, October 17, when their motorbike hit someone, skidded off the road and crashed onto a structure.

The bodies of Kwabena Fante, 17 and Nyarko Abronoma, 15, have since been deposited at the St. Elizabeth Catholic Hospital at Hwidiem in the Asutifi South District whilst Collins Krukyi, also aged 17, was in a critical condition at the same hospital.

The Ghana News Agency’s (GNA) investigation revealed that the trio had gone on a drinking spree; the two died on the spot because none of them was wearing a crash helmet.

An eyewitness told the GNA on condition of anonymity on Wednesday at Ntotroso that the motor rider was speeding and because he had negotiating a sharp bend, he lost control.

He added that because of the way the victims were displaying their dancing skills on the motorbike, they attracted public attention but they defied all warnings.
