Dick Lifts MTN Golf

Royal Golf Club’s Vivian Dick swung brilliantly to lift this year’s MTN CEO Invitational golf tourney at the Celebrity Golf Club, Sakumono on Saturday.
She recorded 35 points, a point better than Adelaide Owusu- Adjapong in the ladies A category to run home with a trophy, an ipad and a free fiber broadband for three months.
Tema Ladies captain Mona Myers Lamptey finished third with 32 points.
Geoffrey Avornyotse dominated the Men’s Group A with 38 points to pick a trophy, a new mobile phone as well as free fiber broadband for three months.
And like it happened in the ladies category, he beat Gabriel Ayiwah by just a stroke with Mathias Dorfe following in that order.
It was Benigno Mimis, who picked the Men’s Group B ultimate prize with 42 points. Maxwell Prah grabbed the second spot with 37 points with Gold Field’s Alfred Baku finishing in third position with 35 points.
Celebrity Lady captain, Helen Appah emerged tops in the Ladies Group B event.
In a speech read by Samuel Koranteng, government and regulation, MTN, for Ebenezer Twum, CEO of MTN, he said “I must say that your participation in MTN’s Golf tournaments has been spectacular and it clearly demonstrates your tenacity as members of the business community to forge stronger relationships in creating an enabling environment for business growth.
“We are pleased to have you as partners and look forward to more fruitful engagements in the coming year. We will continue to hold the golf space and push the sport to the top.

 

“We are humbled by the numerous awards we won this year and we dedicated these awards to our stakeholders especially our customers.

I wish to also mention that, MTN Ghana Foundation which is the Social Responsibility arm of MTN is celebrating its 10th anniversary. For the 10-year period, we have implemented 142 projects with a total investment of $13 million.”
