Kufuor Amplifies ‘Ghana Beyond Aid’

Ex-President John Agyekum Kufuor, Life Patron of the Initiators of Change Foundation (ICF), is set to engage captains of industry and politicians on the possibility of moving Ghana beyond aid as envisaged by President Akufo-Addo.

Executive Director of ICF, organizers of the ‘Life In A Portrait’ Awards, Kofi Gyan, who made this known to BUSINESS GUIDE, said come March 1, 2018, Mr Kufuor, Board of Trustees of ICF, and the industry players shall converge on the Alisa Hotel in Accra for an interaction cocktail.

According to him, the cocktail session will be held under the theme: “Partnering Government to build a Ghana beyond aid.”

He said the meeting seeks to provide the platform for exchanging business ideas, building partnerships and synergies and to “let captains of industry know how they can partner government to build a Ghana beyond aid.”

ICF is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), which was established in 2006 and accordingly registered in 2008, with a vision to becoming a continental organization that will empower the youth, poor, vulnerable and less privileged persons to realize their dreams and enhance their lives for the general benefit of society.

Former Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur, former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, Minister of Business Development, Mohammed Ibrahim Awal, Isaac Osei, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tema Oil Refinery (TOR), Gifty Ohene Konadu, National Project Coordinator of the One District, One Factory project, Rashid Pelpuo, former minister of Private Sector, are among a tall list of individuals Mr. Kufuor is expected to meet.
