WR NPP Chair Supports Blay

Freddie Blay

The Western Regional chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Francis Ndede Siah, has pledged his unflinching support to Freddie Blay, on his bid to become the substantive national chairman of the party.

According to the regional chairman, looking at the ability of Mr Blay – who is the current acting national chairman of the party – in bringing the party from opposition to power, he is the only candidate who will be able to shepherd the party to retain power come election 2020.

“I am supporting Freddie Blay because he led the party from opposition to power and has what it takes to consolidate the gains of the party,” he claimed.

Mr. Ndede Siah declared his support for Mr. Freddie Blay in an interaction with journalists at Tikobo No.1 in the Jomoro District of the Western Region.

That was when he made a ‘triumphant entry’ into his home town after winning the regional chairman position during the party’s regional delegates’ conference about a month ago.

Mr Siah, who was hitherto an acting regional chairman, was in the area to thank the chiefs and people for their support as well as the delegates for voting for him.

He pointed out that there was no way Mr. Freddie Blay would lose the upcoming national chairman election of the NPP.

“He is the only one who can help consolidate the NPP’s achievements and successes because when things seemed haywire in the party, he managed to calm things and worked hard to bring the NPP to power,” he added.

He continued, “I know NPP delegates reward hard work and as they have done it for me, I strongly believe they will do it also for Hon Freddie Blay.”

He noted that the party needs a chairman who would be able to manage the affairs of the party well and help in winning the 2020 elections.

“A person of Freddie Blay’s calibre with natural qualities of a leader must be given the chance to lead the party for another sweet victory in the 2020 elections,” he stressed.

He pleaded with the delegates to elect executives who would listen to them and also work in the interest of the party.

Mr Ndede Siah pointed out that one of his priorities as a regional chairman is to build a befitting regional office for the party.

He also promised to work hard with his executives to increase the party’s parliamentary seats in the region from the current 16 to 20 in the next general election.

He commended President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for remaining steadfast in pursuing the national development agenda in the midst of numerous challenges.
