Nurudeen Musah, who butchered a woman and her daughter to death
NURUDEEN MUSAH, the man accused of killing a mother and daughter with a sharp machete at Sekyere Afram Plains District, has been nabbed.
The police, acting upon a tip-off, reportedly managed to smoke him out from his hideout, where he had taken refuge after his fiendish action.
The immediate-past DCE for Sekyere Afram Plains District, Donkor Fuseini, confirmed the arrest of Nurudeen to DAILY GUIDE during an interview.
He alleged that there had been a manhunt for Nurudeen for some days after the suspect allegedly butchered a woman and her 15-year-old daughter.
Delving deep into the case, Mr. Fuseini said both the woman and Nurudeen were living in the same community within the Sekyere Afram Plains.
He said the woman engaged the services of Nurudeen to burn quantities of charcoal for her, which would be sold on the market.
Even though the woman paid some money to Nurudeen, after some days, it became apparent that Nurudeen was not prepared to produce the quantities of charcoal.
Fuseini said the woman confronted Nurudeen on Tuesday about the charcoal and even though there was no charcoal, the suspect lied that he had produced it.
Upon the directive of Nurudeen, the woman and her daughter followed him to Sapoa, a community in the district, for the charcoal on Tuesday morning.
When they reached Sapoa, Nurudeen failed to produce the charcoal so the woman became agitated and demanded that Nurudeen should produce the charcoal.
Nurudeen, who was then armed with a machete, killed the woman and the 15-year-old girl and bolted.
Fuseini said Nurudeen was eventually arrested from his hiding place to face the law, adding that “reports are that Nurudeen was influenced by tramadol”.
