Chief Justice Anin Yeboah opening the court building at Pokukrom
ACCESS TO justice delivery in the Ahafo Ano South-East District of the Ashanti Region has been improved, following the opening of a new court building at Pokukrom, a community in the district.
The Chief Justice, His Lordship Justice Anin Yeboah, in his remarks after commissioning the court complex, stressed the need to make access to justice delivery available in all parts of the country to ensure orderliness and progress.
According to him, his administration embarked on a laudable project to construct 100 new court buildings across the country upon assumption of office, to help expedite justice delivery so as to promote peace.
“Resourcing and making judicial service easily accessible is critical to improve the quality of judicial service delivery in the country,” Justice Anin Yeboah remarked, and called for support for his administration.
The DCE and MP for the area, Thomas Owusu Ansah and Francis Manu-Adabor, respectively, in their separate addresses, lauded the Chief Justice and the traditional leaders in the area for supporting the court project.
Virtually sounding elated, the two dignitaries promised that they would provide the needed support to help ensure the completion of a residential accommodation building for the judge who would work in the new court anytime soon.
On her part, Nana Amonu Gyamfua, the Queenmother of Pokukrom, passionately appealed to the staff of the court to take good care of the court building in order to prolong the edifice for future generations to also use it.
The Pokukrom Queenmother thanked the government, the Chief Justice, and all political leaders in the district for their unflinching support to bring access to justice delivery to the doorstep of her people.
