Speaking on the event theme, “Developing Talent through Music,” founder of the  Frando Musik Klinikum, Assistant Commissioner of Police  in charge of the Police Bands,  Dr. Frank Hukporti,  emphasised the need for parents to motivate their wards who find interest in brass band music.

According to him, allowing children to unearth their talent as brass band enthusiasts helps to improve cognitive function, including memory, concentration, and problem-solving skills.

“The notation that children who love brass band are less intelligent must be discarded as studies have shown that playing an instrument can even improve brain development in children,” he said.

Former Inspector General of Police, John Kudalor, who chaired the programme, applauded the participants for their exceptional display of performances at the event.

Being thrilled with the skillful use of the musical instruments by the youngsters, he promised to support the organisation for the next season.

The event was facilitated by some personnel from the Central Band of the Ghana Police Service, including Chief Inspector Adzroe Elikplim, Inspector Martin Ladzekpo, and Sergeant Klu Mensah, Cpl. Daniel Binah, Josephine Havor and Vida Agbley.
