Ghanaian disc jockey, DJ Sly King, has revealed that his greatest aim growing up was to become a superstar.

After years of dedication to his craft, he now stands as one of Ghana’s most renowned DJs, representing the country on the global stage.

In addition to his DJ career, DJ Sly King has successfully ventured into music production, collaborating with numerous artistes over the years.

“I wanted to be that superstar DJ,” he shared during an interview on 3Music TV’s ‘3hread Special’ with Essilfua, explaining that his move into music production was aimed at elevating his brand.

Over the years, DJ Sly King has worked with notable artistes including Black Prophet, Ice Prince, Wendy Shay, and Fameye.

He is also currently a nominee for DJ of the Year at the upcoming 3Music Awards, a recognition he wasn’t expecting while on tour. “I’ve been doing a lot, so it’s nice to be recognised,” DJ Sly King remarked.

When asked how he felt about potentially winning, he said, “If I win, it’s good. If I don’t win, it’s also good. It wouldn’t stop me from continuing to work hard.”
