Tech in Ghana has announced preparations for the 2024 edition, which will be held in Accra from November 26th to 27th at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel.
Over 500 people are expected to attend the two-day event curated for founders, investors, supporters, and stakeholders in the tech ecosystem.
Since its inception in 2017, Tech in Ghana has played a pivotal role in championing the country’s cutting-edge entrepreneurs and founders; while fostering global collaboration, knowledge exchange, and networking among industry leaders, decision-makers, investors, and startups.
Founder of Tech in Ghana, Akosua Annobil, said event-goers should expect cutting-edge showcases, industry discussions, deep-dive breakout sessions, experiential activations, exhibitions, and more.
She said Tech in Ghana is a prominent platform dedicated to building and strengthening Ghana’s tech ecosystem stating that the conference provides a valuable avenue for industry leaders to come together, engage in global knowledge exchange, meaningful networking with industry peers, and showcase innovation.
“Tech in Ghana empowers the country’s entrepreneurs to highlight their work on a worldwide stage, giving them access to international markets,” she said.
The British High Commissioner to Ghana, Harriet Clare Thompson, pledged the commission’s unwavering commitment to the event stating that the initiative is making a profound impact by bringing together key players in the tech ecosystem, not just within Ghana, but beyond its borders.
Through this initiative, Ms. Thompson said the country is witnessing driving economic growth and the creation of opportunities and wants to be an integral part of this journey.
“As we consider the future job landscape, we recognize that many young people graduating from Ghana’s education system will not find traditional employment in the public sector as previous generations did,” he said.
She added that, “we need to empower these young minds to harness their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit to forge new paths and create future opportunities. This is precisely what Tech in Ghana aims to achieve.”
