The Adenta branch of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Victory Congregation, has launched its 25th anniversary amidst great excitement.

The launching ceremony which took place at the church’s auditorium last Sunday was, among other objectives, to announce activities lined up for the celebration.

Samuel Gyekye Mensah, chairman of the ‘Victory @25’ committee, indicated that the celebration will be a year-long event under the theme: ‘Celebrating Twenty Five Years of God’s Grace and Faithful Stewardship, I Corinthians 15:10’.

According to him, the celebration started last Saturday with a health walk covering a distance of 8.6 km.

“The other activities planned for the year include Victory Family Day in April, career guidance and health screening in August, as well as there will be donation to some selected challenged institutions in Accra and Akuapem in October. There will be a joint revival with Grace Congregation, Akropong, to climax the celebration in December 2018,” he said.

Rev David Adoteye-Asare, minister in-charge of Victory Congregation, indicated that the church which now has a membership of 3,000 started with 11 members who fellowshipped on the corridors of Gbewa Construction Company at Adentan.

“We have, indeed, come far both in spiritual and physical growth of the members and our focus is to move on in our mandate in evangelism to win more souls,” he remarked.

“Victory Congregation, apart from its commitment to the parent church, has impacted significantly in rolling out a number of interventions to benefit both members and the general public most through its career and guidance seminars for the youth,” he disclosed.
