King Promise performing at the 2017 Afrochella Festival
Culture Management Group (CMG), an Accra-based media management company, has disclosed that the second annual Afrochella Festival is slated to come off on Saturday, December 29 this year at the El-Wak Sports Stadium in Accra.
In a statement released on August 10, CMG stated that the festival aims at bringing multi-generations from around the world to celebrate Africa through arts, fashion, food and music.
In December last year, the Afrochella Festival made its debut in spectacular fashion as it brought about 5,000 people from the world all over gathered under one roof at the Polo Club in Accra.
The ceremony also showcased an array of great Ghanaian such as the late Ebony Reigns, King Promise, Kidi, Kwesi Arthur and a host of others.
This year’s event, according to the statement, will also feature a pop-up shop which will make available a range of merchandise for attendees to buy either online or at the festival grounds in December.
The statement further disclosed that Water Aid, a non-profit organisation that is into the provision of clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene, is the official charity partner for this year’s festival.
It added that Afrochella will donate a percentage of ticket sales to Water Aid in support of making clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene available to everyone.
