AirtelTigo Integrates Mobile Money Services

AIRTELTIGO has announced that it has begun the integration for AirtelTigo and TigoCash.

It therefore signed an agreement with Mahindra Comviva, a global leader in the provision of mobility solutions to help it deliver this on a secure and reliable platform.

“The integrated mobile money service will be executed by the world’s leading mobile money platform mobiquity Money provided by Comviva. The integration will deliver superior customer experience by providing access to wider agent network, reduce customers’ cost of transaction, and facilitate product innovation,” Roshi Motman told the media on Tuesday in Accra.

She said when completed in April, customers would be able to transact business across both Airtel Money and Tigo Cash wallets, adding that customers of both services could cash in and cash-out at each other’s agents seamlessly.

“Customers will enjoy an expanded network and agent base because we are developing very innovative products and services that will enrich their experience. Also we are in the process of increasing our banking partners to drive improved liquidity in the market. Customers will be able to perform banking services (bank-to-wallet and wallet-to-bank) through their AirtelTigo money accounts with up to 20 partner banks.”

She noted that the company’s new prices are competitive.
