President Nana Akufo-Addo has commissioned an ultra-modern office complex for the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwa National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA).
During the commissioning, Mr Akuffo-Addo reiterated his government’s commitment to provide a sound and conducive working environment to boost their services.
According to him, providing a convenient atmosphere for NHIS cardholders who throng the various offices for NHIS services was his priority.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the NHIA, Dr Lydia Dsane-Selby in her remarks, noted that NHIA was committed to paying claims for its cherished providers as it considers the provision of a sound and conducive working environment a priority to ensure effective productivity.
“The NHIA hope to attain 80 percent nationwide coverage and it could only be achieved through the hard work of the district offices”, she added.
She tasked the district manager to ensure that NHIS cardholders enjoyed all the benefits enshrined in the Benefit Package through regular monitoring at their facilities.
She pledged her outfit’s commitment to providing all the needed logistics and technical support to attain their target by the end of the year.
The President was accompanied by the Western North Regional Minister, Richard Ebbah Obeng, and Minister for Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation and Member of Parliament (MP) for Sefwi Wiawso, Dr Kwaku Afriyie, MP for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai, Alfred Obeng-Boateng, Former MP for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai, to the commissioning ceremony.
The rest were: Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Dan Kwaku Botwe, Minister for Roads and Highways, Kwaku Amoako Atta, Minister for Chieftaincy, Kwadwo Kum, and some regional executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
