Talented highlife/afro pop singer, songwriter and producer, Gladstorm Kwabena Akwaboah, aka Akwaboah Jnr, who has composed songs for a number of circular and gospel artistes, is set to release his new single titled, ‘Posti Me’.
Akwaboah’s new single, ‘Posti Me’, to be released on Sunday, May 17, will be available on iTunes, YouTube, Spotify, Boomplay and other digital platforms.
The mid-tempo danceable song yet to enjoy massive rotations on electronic media is a highlife song mixed with afro pop beat and suitable for parties.
Akwaboah is working hard to promote his new single on social media, online download sites and mainstream media.
He is credited with hit songs such as ‘Nsroma’, ‘Naadu’, ‘Hye Me Bo’, ‘I Do Love’, ‘Hold Me Down’, ‘Love Unfair’, ‘Forget’, ‘Obiba’, ‘Number One’ and Blow My Mind.
He first announced his musical trademark in 2009 when he wrote ‘Daa Ke Daa’ for Becca and ‘Ayeyi Ndwom’ for Kofi Sarpong.
Both songs won their respective artiste awards at the 2010 Ghana Music Awards, with Akwaboah subsequently being adjudged the Songwriter of the Year 2010 with ‘Daa Ke Daa’. In 2012, he wrote ‘Best in Me’ for Efya.
Akwaboah, after years of perfecting his musical art, launched his music career with the release of his first official single, ‘I Do Love You’, which enjoyed loads of airplay across the country and on the international platform.
Akwaboah, who has carved a niche for himself in the music industry, is a master keyboardist. He has played for several local and international artistes including Hugh Masakela and John Legend.
