The Africa-Middle East Trade and Investment Cooperation (AMETIC) has launched a new network website to foster trade relations between the two regions.

President of AMETIC, Rola Sultan speaking at the launch said the main purpose of the website apart from fostering trade relations is to also create opportunities between the Middle East and Africa for better business development.

According to Ms. Sultan, AMETIC is an organization that promotes commercial relations and investment between the Middle East and Africa. It aims to also increase business and investment volumes between companies.

“We work on linking companies of common interest, organizing investment summits and trade fairs to discover new opportunities, and bringing trade delegations together” she added.

Ms. Sultan further emphasized that AMETIC encourages trade and investment opportunities in both the Middle East and Africa.

This, she said is done by interacting with companies and governments in both regions adding that he group is committed to economically empowering and developing its member communities through trade partnerships and investment advice.

She further called for cooperation between industry players to unlock the potential that collaboration may bring.

She said, “We firmly believe that our collective effort and mutual understanding can change the vision and unlock the full potential of building bridges and breaking down the barriers we face.”

“By cooperating with other organizations with similar goals, AMETIC facilitates the sharing of common commercial interests between the Middle East and Africa. Through strategic leadership we aim to boost local industries, equipping enterprises with the tools they need to penetrate the global stage,” she said.

Vice President of AMETIC, Jeremiah Quayson, noted that the organization assists young entrepreneurs in expanding their businesses in various sectors of trade. These sectors include tourism, health, sports, imports, and exports.

“We are open to trading with businesses in Africa and the Middle East as such,” he  said.
