Apprise Music Rewards Agya Paye

Apprise Music Distribution, a digital music distribution service provider, has recognised renowned Ghanaian music producer, Kwaku Mari Agya Paye, who is also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Agya Paye Music, for his contributions to the development of Ghanaian highlife music and the music industry as a whole.

Kwaku Mari Agya Paye is credited with more than 40 albums and 600 singles with various acts. He has worked with renowned highlife musicians such as Amakye Dede, J. A. Adofo, Prince Osei Kofi, Seth Asiedu, Kofi Sammy, Osei Banahene, Wofa Asomani, Baptist Disciples Singers, Nana Ampadu, and many more.

During a brief event in Accra, Agya Paye, who is among a number veteran music producers honoured by Apprise Music, received a plaque from the company.

Presenting the award was Michael Bamfo, CEO of Apprise Music Distribution, who stated that it was recognition of Agya Paye’s lifetime commitment to the regional creative arts scene as well as his legacy of promoting Ghanaian music internationally.

Following his acceptance of the award, Agya Paye thanked the Apprise Music management for the award. He promised not to lose sight of the causes he works to support now that he had this recognition.

“I feel so honoured. I am grateful to God Almighty for providing me with strength and to everyone who has helped me along the path in various ways,” Agyapaye stated.

He remarked, “I want to thank all of my followers for their years of devotion and support, and I am expressing my sincere gratitude to God for His support.”

Since the 1983, Agya Paye has been involved in the highlife scene. Currently, he is planning to celebrate his 43 years in the Ghanaian music industry very soon.
