Information reaching DAILY GUIDE indicates that some unknown persons stormed the Daboya Police Station in the North Gonja District of the Northern Region and made away with some weapons.
DAILY GUIDE gathered that the unknown persons made away with three weapons including AK47 riffle.
The police officer who was stationed at the Police Station has been picked up by the Northern Regional Police Command and investigations have commenced into the matter.
The Northern Regional Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Mohammed Yusif Tanko, who confirmed the incident to DAILY GUIDE said the police are investigating the matter.
‘We want to find out whether the officer left the station briefly or was asleep or he didn’t come to the station at all’.
According to him, the officer was arrested and questioned but has since been released.
