The Goaso Business Centre of Asa Savings and Loans has held a health screening exercise for clients in the Goaso operational area.
In all, over 200 clients were screened of various ailments including malaria, hepatitis, blood glucose, eye care and typhoid fever.
Area Manager in Charge of Goaso Business Centre, Emmanuel Opare Yeboah, said the gesture was part of an annual exercise and a nationwide corporate social responsibility by the company to ensure that clients of the company remain in good health.
“Apart from doing business, we also deem it fit to make the health status of our clients a priority. Through this, we encourage them to take time off their busy schedule and check their health regularly” he said.
“This is to show how we care and how we want our clients to be fit and healthy through this annual exercise” he noted.
The beneficiaries were given various support including medication and medical assistance.
Many of the participants screened were suffering from ulcers and other ailments which have been aggravated with the type of painkillers they usually took.
They were advised not to eat particular foods and manage their diets as well.
