Ashweniagmor Welcomes New Chief

Nii Tettey Kojo II

 

THE CHIEFS and Elders of Ashweniagmor, one of the villages under the Ngleshie Alata paramountcy, in the Greater Accra Region, have installed Isaac Aryee as the new chief.

In a colourful ceremony, Isaac Aryee was introduced to the indigenes just moments after the casket of Nii Okai Kwaofio I, the late chief of Ashweniagmor, was lifted for burial following traditional rituals on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

With the stool name Nii Tettey Kojo II, he ascended the throne during a historic traditional ceremony held on Sunday, April 27, 2025, in the township.

After undergoing the necessary rites and rituals, Nii Tettey Kojo II swore an oath of office before Nii Armaah Kwafio II, Chief of Armaa Man and Acting President of the Ngleshie Alata Traditional Area.

This was also observed by some elders of the Ngleshie Alata paramountcy which included Nii Okudziman IV, Adjumanku Dzasetse, Nii Ayaa Klemekuku Adjumanku Weku Nukpa, Numo Okai lll, Adjumanku Sei Wulomo, Ngleshie Amanfro Manklalo Armaa man Dzasetse Armaa man, Oshipi Nii Attoh Fio and Armaa Man Akwashongtse.

Thousands of jubilant spectators gathered to witness the occasion, cheering as the new chief was carried shoulder-high and paraded through the main streets of Ashweniagmor.

At 51, Nii Tettey Kojo II is the second person to occupy this esteemed position. He is also the Chief Executive Officer of RaCo Real Estate, a prominent company that offers multi-platform real estate consulting and development services.
