Assin Central NPP Delegates Defy Chairman’s Order

In a surprising turn of events, delegates from the Assin Central Constituency have decided to defy the orders of their Constituency Chairman not to wear t-shirts of Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

This act of defiance occurred during a meeting with Dr. Bawumia over the weekend.

The Constituency Chairman, Attakora Amaniammpong, had strictly instructed the delegates not to accept or wear any t-shirts featuring Dr. Bawumia because of Kennedy Agyapong.

However, the delegates stood united and chose to resist these dictatorial orders during their meeting with the Vice President.

Polling station executives and electoral area coordinators revealed that Chairman Amaniammpong had explicitly told them not to accept or wear the t-shirts. Yet, the delegates decided to go against this directive in a display of defiance and support for Dr. Bawumia.

One polling station chairman shared his perspective on the matter, stating, “This is democracy. We are one party and family. Why should we mistreat Dr. Bawumia because an aspirant comes from here? If Dr. Bawumia wins, how can we go out there to campaign for him to become president if we maltreat him today? This is why I am in his t-shirt.”

The delegates warmly embraced Vice President Bawumia during the meeting and commended him for his competent leadership.

This act of defiance showcases their unwavering support for Dr. Bawumia and their willingness to stand up against unfair directives.

Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia is currently on a campaign tour of the Central Region, with his latest stop being the Assin Central Constituency. While it remains to be seen how their acts of defiance will impact the ongoing campaign, it is clear that the delegates have made a strong statement in favor of Dr. Bawumia.
