‘Avoid Ministerial Titles’

THE GENERAL Overseer of the Anointing Prayer and Evangelistic Ministry (APEM) in Tema, Prophet Francis Kwadwo Owusu advised his colleague men of God to desist from giving themselves ministerial titles which they have not been ordained for.

He was worried that some of his colleagues instead of sticking to their specific area of calling have arrogated unto themselves ministerial titles for which they have not been ordained.

According to him, the practice has led to the failure of many pastors and ministers in the ministry because they don’t have the anointing to be operating in the office they have arrogated to themselves leading to disgrace.

He said such actions had tainted the good name of men of God and gave a wrong perception of the process of awarding and receiving honorific titles from recognized bodies.

The General Overseer of the Tema based church made the remarks when he was inducted into office as a Diplomatic Ambassador of the Gospel by the United Nations (UN).

He was also issued with the International Preachers Identity Card (ID) which would ensure that he is granted access and recognized by the United Nations member states.

The honour was in recognition of the tremendous impact the man of God has made and continues to make towards the betterment of humanity by feeding his followers with unadulterated Word of God as well as supporting the underprivileged in society since he became a full time Minister of the Gospel in 1997.

Delivering a sermon, Bishop Prince Hampel, admonished Ministers of the Gospel to live exemplary lifestyles by demonstrating the virtues of Jesus Christ.

He bemoaned the practice where some men of God trade the word of God to enrich themselves and charged Ministers to desist from the practice and uphold integrity.

Bishop Hampel appealed to Ghanaians to ensure that this year’s election is very peaceful and charged Apostle Francis Kwadwo Owusu to go the extra mile to impact humanity by preaching messages on salvation

The ceremony, which was officiated by Bishop Prince Hampel, founder of the Liberty Global Christian Church, UK and the Vice President of Peristrofi World Honorary International Awards on behalf of Barkley University of California, USA, brought together several respected Ministers of the Gospel.
