Award winning UK-based Ghanaian gospel artiste, Diana Hamilton, has been rated as one of the most viewed Ghanaian artistes on YouTube.
With an average viewing of 6.42M, the ‘Mo Ne Yo’ hitmaker is rated fourth in the list of the top five most viewed artistes in Ghana.
The gospel artiste, who has carved a niche for herself as one of Ghana’s celebrated gospel artistes, is the only woman in that exclusive list which is led by Shatta Wale, who tops with 13.26M, Sarkodie – 11.72M, Stonebwoy – 7.86M and “Things Fall Apart” hitmaker Kofi Kinaata, who comes in at fifth with 4.63M.
Hamilton has won the hearts of many music fans in Ghana with her soul touching music and stagecraft.
Diana released her maiden album in 2007 titled, ‘Osoro be kasa’, which enjoyed some good airplay that brought her into the limelight.
Her second album, ‘Ensi wo yie’, released in 2010, gained her prominence in the Ghana Gospel Music Industry.
Based on the success of her maiden album, ‘Osoro Be Kasa’, she was nominated for Best Female Vocal Performance and Gospel Song of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards in 2008.
The song ‘Ensi wo Yie’ from her second album received nomination for Gospel Song of the Year 2010 at the Ghana Music Awards.
Diana Hamilton was also nominated for Best Musician at the Ghana-UK Based Achievement Awards 2010.
She was also nominated for Best Female Artiste at the Africa Gospel Awards 2011.
She has a number of hit songs which include ‘Fresh Oil’, ‘Eye Woa’, ‘It’s All About You’ and ‘Most High God’.
The celebrated artiste has received several nominations including Best Female Artiste Africa at the Africa Gospel Awards and Best Gospel Act at the Black Entertainment Film Fashion Television and Arts Awards.
