Black Queens Arrive In UAE For Pink Ladies Cup

Black Queens in training

Ghana’s senior women’s national team, the Black Queens, have arrived in the United Arab Emirates to compete in the 2025 Pink Ladies Cup.

The team touched down in the early hours of Wednesday as they begin preparations for the four-nation tournament, which forms part of their build-up to the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Under the guidance of head coach Kim Lars Björkegren, the Queens will face Hong Kong, Russia and Tanzania during the competition.

The Swedish tactician announced his squad last week, handing opportunities to six new players as he continues to assess options ahead of the continental showpiece.

The technical team is expected to begin full training sessions immediately as the Queens gear up for their opening fixture on February 28.

The Pink Ladies Cup provides a valuable platform for Ghana to fine-tune tactics, build team chemistry and test new additions as preparations intensify for next year’s Women’s AFCON.
