Celestine Donkor and her husband
Kofi Donkor, husband of gospel musician, Celestine Donkor, is alleging he suffered from erectile dysfunction after recovering from COVID-19.
Both Kofi and his wife Celestine tested positive for the coronavirus in December 2020.
Celestine earlier told Accra-based radio station, Hitz FM that she almost died of COVID-19 but she was grateful to God for recovering.
“I had COVID-19 and I know what it means. I had it. I almost died Andy. I can’t say this but I have recovered. So yes I know what it means to survive COVID-19,” she said in January 2021.
In a Facebook post on Monday to caution Ghanaians to wear their face masks, her husband Mr. Donkor indicated that he has been suffering from side effects of the virus.
“COVID IS REAL! On December 19, 2020, my wife and I tested positive for COVID-19. My recovery was faster than expected. Fast forward, about 10 days after my recovery, I was struggling with appetite and worst of all I had no erection. Please mask-up! #maskup,” he wrote.
Indications are that a number of showbiz stakeholders have been suffering from COVID-19. Celestine and her husband are part of the few who came public with theirs.
Earlier reports indicated that Ghana has been witnessing what seems to be the second wave of COVID-19 surge. President Akufo-Addo in his last address to the nation on COVID-19 warned he would be re-imposing restriction on movement should the surge in active COVID-19 cases persist. Various personalities have since taken to advising the public to follow the safety protocols.
