Chase Forever Loses Mother

R&B musician Chase Forever is grieving following the sudden demise of his mother, Madam Maame Ama Acheampomaa.

She died last week Monday due to an undisclosed cause. She was 59 and is succeeded by two children— Chase and his younger sister.

“(Heartbroken emoji) from this point onwards, nothing else matters how are you on a poster mum smh why,” Chase wrote on Instagram when he announced the mother’s unfortunate death.

The death came as a shock to many who are close to Chase and his mother. A number of them took to social media to express their shock.

There will be a one-week observation in the memory of the late Maame Ama at the Executive Fitness Club, near the East Legon Police Station on Monday, February 18.

Born Fianko Bossman, he started writing song verses and performed at events at a tender age. He participated in every talent show organised by his school. In 2000, he joined a rap group called Souljas Inn and was considered one of the best battle rappers in Ghana.

Souljas Inn’s first single, ‘One Day’, was featured as a soundtrack in Shirley Frimpong Manso’s film, ‘A Perfect Picture’.

He has written songs for numerous Ghanaian artistes, including, Becca, D-Black, Efya, Mimi, Adina and a host of others.

He was nominated twice for 2012 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA 2012), and won the male video of the year at 4Syte Music Video Awards.

He is known for his popular songs like ‘Finally’, ‘Lonely’, ‘Tell Me Your Name’, ‘Fire’, among other recent songs.
