DJ Billy Ocean
As part of activities put in place for this year’s edition of the Oguaa Fetu Afahye Festival celebrated by the people of Cape Coast in the Central Region, Oceans TV will host an event dubbed ‘Dance Da Nite’ to entertain music fans.
The event, which takes place this Saturday, September 2, at 8pm at Club 161 inside Cape Coast Sports Stadium, is being organised for mature audience.
It will serve as a social platform that enables music lovers of all backgrounds to connect and socialise with their friends and loved ones.
It will feature prominent Ghanaian disc jockeys (DJs) including DJ Billy Ocean, who is the headline act for the event.
Dance Da Nite is anticipated to bring a sizable number of old school music fans together on one platform to reflect on their school days.
It is the ideal party location for corporate leaders and fans of classic music to reminisce about bygone eras, and it is the only place where individuals have infinite opportunities to relax and have fun after a demanding month.
According to the organisers, attendees of the event would also have the chance to mingle with DJ Billy Ocean and other celebrities in addition to their favourite old school DJs.
At the event, renowned old school DJs will dazzle attendees with a variety of old school tunes from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. These DJs are professionals with more than three decades of expertise in the music industry.
Old school music fans will enjoy a number of classic songs on the night, including Marcia Griffiths’ Electric Boogie, Shalamar’s Friends, T-Connection’s Party Night, Raphael Cameroun’s For The Love of You, Madonna’s Holiday, Diana Ross Upside Down, Anita Baker’s Ring My Bell, and Rick James’ Give To Me, among others.
At the event, the DJs on the bill will also play highlife, Afrobeat, hiplife, and other genres.
