Gospel artiste Diana Asamoah has fired back at fellow musician Cecilia Marfo’s accusations of sabotage, asserting that her criticisms were grounded in a divergence from biblical principles.
Asamoah, speaking in an interview with Angel FM, defended her stance against Marfo’s religious practices and advised her to adhere to the word of God for the prosperity of her ministry.
Criticizing Marfo’s unconventional methods, including spitting in people’s mouths, Asamoah expressed that relying on such practices could lead to unfavorable consequences.
She highlighted Marfo’s emotional display on TV, stating that tears won’t alter the fate of her church; instead, adherence to biblical principles is paramount.
“She was relying on spitting in people’s mouths and using bread that had been smeared with sweat to run her church. If you don’t give God the necessary prestige He deserves, He will leave you to the world and you will be crying immensely, in fact, you will cry blood,” Asamoah remarked.
Responding to the decline in Marfo’s church membership, Asamoah drew parallels with biblical narratives, emphasizing that even Jesus faced a reduction in followers but did not resort to tears. Asamoah challenged Marfo to reconsider her approach and align with biblical teachings for the restoration of her congregation.
Cecilia Marfo had previously shared her distressing experience of her church dwindling from over 400 members to just 40, attributing the decline to Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong and Diana Asamoah.
In an emotional interview with JoyPrime TV, Marfo expressed forgiveness towards those who affected her ministry but believed that God would address the situation in due time.
