As part of efforts to celebrate women, Developers In Vogue (DIV) is organising the DIVA Festival on November 16 at the Efua Sutherland in Accra.
The DIVA Festival is described as a moment of fun, recognition and celebration of African women who are creating positive change in society through technology, innovation and entrepreneurship.
Organisers of the festival, DIV, trains African women in the latest technologies and connect them to life-changing opportunities in the tech ecosystem. In doing so, many women have realised their potential in technology and entrepreneurship.
“We are expecting 500 women to be present for the festival. Even though DIV focuses on women, the guys are welcome to join us for DIVA Festival. This year, DIVA Festival will be taking place on November 16 at the Efua Sutherland Park from 9:00am to 8:00pm,” the organisation said in a press statement.
“Through DIVA Festival, we seek to provide African women with the skills, network, information and opportunities to position them to take advantage of technology and pursue their utmost potential. It is also our aim to create a platform for African women to network, share their journey and inspire each other. We also want to identify and support African women innovators and connect them to life-changing opportunities and role models in the fields of technology, innovation and entrepreneurship,” it also added.
This year’s edition would be graced by speakers who have made a drastic change in their society and are willing to inspire the society with their journey.
There would also be exciting and educative programme activities like start-up showcases, workshops, exhibitions, pitch competitions, masterclasses, photo booths, career clinics and more.
