In a shocking turn of events, an Electoral Commission (EC) official has been arrested at the Kintampo South Constituency in the Bono East Region for electoral offences.
The suspect, Dery Joseph, is currently under investigation for allegedly issuing around 15 ballot papers to voters that omitted the first presidential candidate at the Ampesika-Bayere polling station.
This incident has raised concerns about the integrity of the electoral process, particularly given the sensitive nature of the offence.
However, the Ghana Police Service has assured the public that it is taking the matter seriously and will ensure that the suspect is held accountable for his actions.
