Benjamin Arkaah Otoo popularly called Benjilo has stressed that education is paramount to the socio-economic development of every country.
According to him, “I believe in Education either formal which includes Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). Industrialized countries like Germany and China have embraced it for their enormous economic development as well as the informal education that involves skills training and carrier development. I will entreat all pupils present and afar to take your studies very seriously from this onset to make you self-dependent shortly as some of us here are. We all began like you”.
Mr. Benjamin Arkaah Otoo called on Ghanaians to enroll their wards in schools to gain knowledge when he spoke as a Special Guest of honor, at the first anniversary of the enstoolment of Nana Ama Serwah Owusua Fofie II, Akyem Apapamhemaa who doubles as the Amantuomiensahemaa under the Okyeman Traditional Council in the Eastern Region.
He, however, admonished all people of school-going age, to embrace education being it formal or informal to bridge the gap between the “poor” and the “rich” in Ghana as a whole.
Nana Serwah Owusua Fofie II, on her part, penciled teenage pregnancy as the major factor hindering education in her community hence, the prudent approach for the adolescent reproductive health sensitization program for all basic schools in the community as she celebrates her first year on the royal seat.
She called on parents, teachers, and all to collectively be ambassadors to reverse the situation as the royal administration has taken the step.
