The suspects
Five suspected robbers, one of them a juvenile, who operate on highways linking Nkoranza and Techiman in the Bono East Region including the Ejura Sekyedumase Municipal of the Ashanti Region, are now in police custody.
Their arrest last Tuesday followed extensive police surveillance in the Ejura Municipality.
The suspects have been identified as Ajara Sagu (the lady among them), Rashid Ibrahim, Ibrahim Iddrisu, Musah Arijuma and the juvenile whose name was not disclosed by the police.
Items recovered during a search upon them were ten assorted mobile phones, one Infinix charger and a lady’s handbag. Other items were an unregistered Apsonic Aloba motorbike and a cash of GH¢2,279.
A driver who was attacked along the Techiman and Ejura highway on November 15, 2021 at Adiembra, identified four of the suspects during police investigation.
Other victims also identified them and their stolen items which were in the custody of the suspects.
The Police Administration have commended the Ejura District Police Command for their feat.
