Fanteakwa DCE Promises Better Times

Adjabeng Kwasi Ntori

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Fanteakwah South in the Eastern Region, Adjabeng Kwasi Ntori, says the developmental agenda being pursued by the Akufo-Addo government will yield positive dividends very soon.

He said his district, for instance, is focusing mostly on education and health which he said has not been the best in the past years.

“I’m monitoring the development of education and health because the results haven’t been good at all. I am collaborating with all the stakeholders to help improve the situation,” he told DALY GUIDE yesterday, adding that providing enough education and health infrastructure cannot be overlooked.

He said the assembly is collaborating with the education authorities in the district to ensure that there is massive enrolment in schools.

The DCE said they are organizing vacation classes for senior high school students who are enjoying the double-track system to keep them well informed. Also, he said the school feeding programme is helping a lot of parents to keep their children in school.

“We will talk to the mining companies to support us because they always mine for gold. They need to make input in the district. We will also make an appeal to the Ministry of Health through the Member of Parliament (MP) so they will be able to give us nurses and midwives. We will also appeal to the government to provide us with a district hospital. I will talk to the chiefs to provide a land for such a project. We will also make sure that every community gets a CHP compound,” he stated.

He concluded saying “I am planning to embark on a stakeholders’ meeting next month to discuss how best we can improve the standard of living in the district.”
