Some parts of the Tamale branch of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) were destroyed by fire on Sunday evening November 29.
DGN Online learnt Computers and other important documents and properties of the DVLA were burnt into ashes.
Private companies and shops working at the DVLA premises have been affected by the fire outbreak as well.
According to some workers at the DVLA premises , on Friday there was a wire problem and it was reported to VRA and for that matter they believed the wire caused the fire outbreak.
The Assistant Station Officer of the Sagnarigu Fire Service station, Baba Hudu , who confirmed the incident, said an ambulance driver called to report the fire outbreak at the DVLA office.
He said the cause of the fire cannot immediately be known, adding that they have commenced investigation to ascertain the actual cause of the fire outbreak.
