We find it hard not to link the treasonable Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo leaked agenda towards next year’s election with the Alajo Citadel Hospital coup project.
Demonstrations, incessant press conferences and heightened propaganda exercises et al, fit the Ofosu-Ampofo billing.
Could there be a linkage between the Take Action Ghana (TAG) movement of which the Alajo Doctor, Dr. Frederick Yao Mac-Palm, is the brain-behind; Dr. Agordzo’s Victory or V gesture, and the claim of the National Chairman that the NDC has pillars in the Police Service?
That should be something the very intelligent intelligence operatives are working on now.
Dr. Agordzo’s V sign, his latest gesture, could be a verbal communication to other TAG members not to worry. He reminds us of the Oromos of Ethiopia and their ‘hands clasped over the head’ gesture. Theirs is about a freedom they are yearning for; they claim they are being oppressed. We do not know whether that is true or not anyway. We also do not know who Agordzo and the TAG are fighting against. At least he claims somebody or a system wants to put him down.
TAG Ghana, with a swollen kitty courtesy of contributors such as Ben and others in the police as we are told, has a hidden agenda known only to its loyal members.
TAG has not experienced dearth of security counselling about how to organize biting demonstrations towards triggering a maelstrom.
What is beginning to unfold as we inch towards the 2020 campaign season correspond to what were leaked to Ghanaians after that fateful meeting of NDC faithful, with Ofosu-Ampofo presiding.
President Akufo-Addo’s first term ends next year after which he would return to Ghanaians for another mandate. That is the beauty of democracy. However, it beats us why some persons with an ambition to become presidents are unable to wait and rely on the outcome of an election to achieve their dream or not, and would rather embark upon the dangerous path of a putsch.
When a bunch not used to depending on a reliable electoral system for the outcome of polls is in opposition, features such as being witnessed in our body politic begin to show up.
How many more TAG members are in the Police Service ready to do the bidding of their leaders and to borrow the words of Dr. Agordzo ‘are as strong as anything’?
There could be more in there. Ofosu-Ampofo told us. Did we hear? The NDC wondering whether or not there is going to be a purge of the security apparatus and rid it of politically active service personnel has cried foul already. Removing those implementing their game-plan is something which would further disrupt their 2020 project. Ghana is first anyway not the interest of any political party or movement, TAG inclusive.
We wish the managers of the BNI cells would manage to have Dr. Agordzo eat some hot akple and okro stew with blue crabs.
