Dr McKorley (L) receiving his citation from Professor Manu
The works of Dr Daniel McKorley, CEO of McDan Group of Companies in tennis developmentĀ and other sectors (Judiciary) of the country has stirred Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA)Ā faculty of law to honour him.
As a result, GIMPA on Friday in a colourful ceremony at the Institute honored the McDan chief, who recently put together an international tennis showpiece in Accra.
The McDan Group boss has constructed a modern day Moot Court, the very first in the country for the higher learning institution which has been named after him.
A citation recognising his good works read āā¦your quest for partnership has seen you support worthy causes that nurture sectional and national aspirations towards the grand goal.
āYour devotion and belief in the goals of the faculty of law and the larger GIMPA are the reasons for your endowment of the first ever moot court in Ghana, a feat that only further testifies to your enduring legacy and standing.ā
Dr McKorley, an alumnus of GIMPA in his speech said, āour job as a private enterprise is to support institutions like GIMPA, you have set high standards and I know this facility will help those virtues and even higher.ā
Like I support tennis, I was inspired by the way our judicial system is making strides- expediting the cases and all that.ā
āAm honored to receive this from no other institution but GIMPA, am most grateful.ā
Rector of GIMPA Professor Franklyn ManuĀ commended Dr McKorley and Chief Justice Georgina Woode for the respective contribution taking law at the institute a notch higher.
