The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) has rounded up 50 Nigerians suspected to have been trafficked into the country and some of them forced to engage in cybercrime for their facilitators.
The special operation was carried out based on intelligence gathered by the Service about the suspects living in a house at McCarthy Hills in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.
A release issued by the GIS indicated that the landlord of the apartment where the suspects lived was also arrested for questioning.
