Goldstar Air, a wholly-owned Ghanaian airline, will begin recruitment of its cabin crew in Accra today, Wednesday September 28, 2016 at Airside Hotel.
The recruitment, which will last for two days, is free of charge and by appointment only.
It will be done by professionals from the aviation industry.
Selected applicants, according to the Airlines, will be trained at the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).
They will later be trained by the company’s Hub in the Caribbean for its flights to and from the Caribbean to North American and Europe.
Eric Bannerman, Chief Executive of Goldstar Air said, “Our European Hub will be at London Stansted Airport which will also service flights going to Accra and the Caribbean, making some picks up in some European cities before its destination in the Caribbean.
“Our hub in the Caribbean will see some Ghanaian cabin crew interchanging and working within cities in the Caribbean and North America,” he said.
Mr Bannerman also disclosed that the company was working closely with a Ghanaian bank to purchase more aircraft.
He said plans were also far advanced to bring in more aircraft for the company’s multiple destinations which will benefit both the bank and Goldstar Air, adding that the bank will be opening branches in all destinations of the airline to take care of the banking needs and that will create more employment for Ghanaians.
Commenting on private jets, Mr Bannerman said the company does not have one now, saying “we will arrange private immigration and customs for all our private and executive charters for our clients to and from any country from our European Hub.”
